About Italian Pharmacode
REFERENCE
Italian Pharmacode (Code 32) is a Code 39 variant used exclusively on pharmaceutical products sold in Italy. It encodes an 8-digit AIC code.
What a valid Italian Pharmacode looks like
- Exactly 9 digits. The first is always 'A'; the last is a mod-10 check derived from the 8-digit AIC code.
- Use the AIC assigned by AIFA - do not fabricate.
