About DotCode

DotCode (AIM ISS DotCode) is a matrix barcode made of isolated dots designed for high-speed inkjet printing on cigarette packages and tobacco.

What a valid DotCode looks like

  • Designed for inkjet printing - dots must remain individually resolvable by the reader.
  • Do not print DotCode with continuous-line technology (laser, thermal) unless the reader is tuned for it.
