About USPS Intelligent Mail
USPS Intelligent Mail (IMb) is a 4-state height-modulated barcode used on US mail pieces. It combines routing, tracking, and service information into a single 65-bar code.
Valid input
- Exactly 20, 25, 29, or 31 digits depending on the service requested.
- Use a Mailer ID issued by USPS - do not invent one.
- The symbol must be printed at the specified 65-bar width and height; USPS will reject non-conformant mail.
